you could focus on an age group:
the culture of teenagers, trends among teenagers, life of a "normal" teenager, examine the idea of normality amongst teenagers- what is normal, how can we become normal, why do we avoid normality and opt for eccentricity or abnormality?
what do teenagers think is important, what are their values.

Write about what your life is like day-by-day. Use current fads, clothing styles, music, and your likes/dislikes. As english teachers would say, paint your audience a picture with words.
