megan; if your as good as you say you are, then your worrying about nothing ! get up on stage and knock 'em dead girl. once your on stage and performing after awhile it 's second nature, and it's the best addiction you can have, you can't wait to get back on stage and see the effect you have on people.to be discovered you need to send a demo recording of yourself, to either a radio station in your area or try to audition for a show of some sort and maybe you'll be lucky and someone in the ''business'' will hear you.... good luck !

okay. I have the opposite problem... I love being in front of an audience, but all my friends think my singing sucks.
Stagefright... if you are really on stage, you dont have to look at the audience, just look above their heads a little. No eyecontact needed. And if all else fails, imagine there is a drop-dead hot guy in the back row asking you out . Works all the time.

The best way to get rid of stage fright would be to get some friends and sing in front of them like you were singing in front of a crowd.

I get stage fright all the time. All I do is live with it. It's really hard while I'm waiting to go onstage, but if you can just get yourself to the point where you have to go, the rest will come. Just perform in front of friends, family, anyone, as much as you can.

Face your fears. I used to have the same exact problem and after my school talent show or whatever it was I got over it. This advice comes from a 10-year-old but it really works.

Take voice lessons, if you don't already. It'll boost your self esteem, knowing that you're doing it correctly and working towards your goal. Try finding some open-mic nights and getting experience. Good luck!
