I've seen plenty of white horses around Times Square in the City, nothing has happened so far.

Most "white" horses are actually considered gray. Nothing happens, unless you get bit or kicked.

Merry meet!!
I am a solitaire practitioner; i am NOT wiccan, I JUST ANSWERED YR QUES. ON THE PURSE AND THE SALT AS WELL, SO I COPIED IT AGAIN HERE!! HOPE IT HELPS U OUT!!
I am pagan and practise white magick in the craft, for the 'greater good' shall we say, hence, i will do my best to answer yr ques.:
OK:
a) white horse: a symbol of a horse in tea leaves or wax divination, or dreams means a sign of travel, white means that it will be a successful venture, possibly relating to good fortune...
b) purse as present: should always be given by someone who loves/cares for you and should NEVER be given EMPTY, even IF it only has a penny in it, is fine; as well u should store your wallets/purses with something representing monetary value so that it will always DRAW that energy to it and u will NEVER b poor! (and u won't as long as u at least have that penny, quarter, etc. lol!)
(AND TO NOTE: 4 WITCHES/WARLOCKS to receive a wallet from his/her partner can be symbolic of BAD luck IF not given properly!
c) spilling salt: a VERY OLD superstiiton; i DO, however, believe in this superstition and ALWAYS throw a pinch of the spilt salt over my left shoulder with my right hand; in the pagan world, we also believe that IF salt is spilt it is for GOOD reason and 'pay heed' to where it landed and how as it may be an indication of protection being needed....
There are several good books out there on all these topics, just go to one of the major chain stores as IF u don't find what you are looking for, they have instore computers and u can use their search engines AND REMEMBER, books are always our best friends! (it's seeming to become more obsolete and that makes me sad!) ALSO, if u are fortunate enough to find a REALLY good second hand book shop in your community, then 'pick the owner's brains' as it is my lucky experience that they are usually EXTREMELY knowledgeable and helpful in whatever you seek.
I am from the Maritimes in Nova Scotia, Canada. A super great book to look for in one of the second-hand stores or libraries (as it is out of print) is one of the published works of a staple author in the maritime provinces: Dartmouthian, Helen Creighton. She was actually given an honorary ECMA award last night here in Halifax and it was accepted a relative on her behalf and she is no longer amongst the living (or is she?? lol) She travelled throughout since 1928 collecting folklore and cultural tales from the people here. The most famous is "Bluenose Ghosts", but the one I am referring to at the moment, is "Bluenose Magic" and was published 1968 by Ryerson Press in Toronto, Canada. I am sorry my copy is 'original' as she was patient of my grandfather's and there is no ISBN. However, you can try contacting the University of Toronto for research purposes in your quest if all else fails...
Also, you can go to my favorite website that can assist you in these areas and direct you to other websites: www.llewellyn.com
I hope I was helpful!
Good luck (turn your horseshoe sideways above the door-like cresent moon-fyi)
and blessed be!!
Goldie

you'll want to jump on it and then if you do it'll grow wings and fly off to mount Olympus where it will take you to Hercules and Hercules will beat the crap out of you for taking Pegasus.
