Its only logical to ship off Kidd rather than Carter, think about it...

Jason Kidd is 34 and though hes playing like hes still in his prime, you honestly have to wonder how much longer he'll continue to perform at this level. Jason has been in trade rumors for years now involving him and the Lakers, Im sure he wouldnt mind coming to Los Angeles, so why not make the guy happy and ship him? His contract is disgusting with 41 million or so over the next two years. Thats disgusting, plus, New Jersey just drafted a stud PG in Marcus Williams this year in the first round. Marcus is a great PG and will be a magnificent one as the years go on and he continues to get better, why not ship Kidd when his replacement is someone who is young and full of talent that is a shame to leave on the bench while getting something descent out of Kidd at the same time? Thats a double double if im New Jersey management.

Vince is still young and still puts up a show, he brings people to watch the games and unlike Kidd, New Jersey doesnt really have a legitimate backup behind him that could come in and be something special for years to come (like Marcus). Get Vince to stay longer, get some young guys, make some moves in the draft, and this team could be in contention in a few years or even shorter if everything turns out right. If you ship Kidd to Los Angeles and get some bigs like Kwame, Brian Cook, etc. they'd immediatley help the sorry *** front court of New Jersey, at the same time you'd get a vet PG in McKie that'd help Marcus and you'd grab another player or two as well as a first rounder probably which can be used to draft a stud in this upcoming draft.

Its the right move for New Jersey to ship off Kidd and have Marcus come in and step up rather than shipping Vince and having who? Eddie House step in? Ha, keep Vince, convince him to stay for a few more years, and build a team and things will go up from there...

I think a Kidd trade would be better for the Nets because Jason Kidd is getting old and this is probably his last year as an All-Star caliber player. Vince still has a couple more years in his tank. If i were to trade Kidd id probably send him to Chicago for Ben Gordon or Kirk Hinrich. Maybe even for Luke Ridnour along with cash or draft picks.

KIDD cause he's old and he still has alot of value since the nets need a big man trade him and collins for a good big man and maybe a first rounder (pick).

I would trade Carter because he's overrated and in his two playoff appearances with the Nets he's hasn't produced.
