My question is very specific. I know and we all know for a fact that man/woman die. Why? In our planet some plants live forever or they re-plenish themselves, some animal species live longer than mankind. Stones, mountains do not die. Trees live much longer than mankind! Why do the human cells not reproduce/rejuvenate themselves and old age or sickness bring us to the end of our lives on this planet. What is the logic or reasoning behind nature/the creator that guided the principle man/woman will stay on this planet max. some 100 yrs. Why? My question has nothing to do with sickness or cancer or wars. I am curious to know why life on earth/on this planet has a limited life span. Mountains do not die, some of nature species live longer than man, some animals do have a longer life span (the sea turtle) and many other natural elements stay longer on this planet. Air for example and water is a good example. Why is it that the creator or nature made it that human have a limited life span.

This based on the circle of destiny. Our destiny (Humans) is different from the destiny of the plants and animals. Only living organisms live and die. The rest contribute to the beauty of the creation. Our path of destiny is to enlighten our souls. That's the reason we live and die in the material world. To enlighten our souls is the baseline to start understanding and approaching God. Here we know nothing.

It's interesting how you define life....rocks and mountains. They come and go, as the tectonic plates crash into each other, but that's another discussion. We humans aren't static, the life span a mere 200-300 years ago was around 30, now we've doubled and tripled that number, mostly thru medical science. Who know's where we'll be in another 599 years.

Looking for logic or reasoning for a biological process is not looking at objective reality, but if you're a believer, i guess that's all you have. From an atheist point of view, i'd rather depend on advancements in medical science to increase the quality of our lives, to revert back to the old-school religious dominated society, means shorter lives, sorry.

I have the following information for your question:

(1) Even mountains are subject to creation and decay over
millenia. The Vedas say that all cretion is subject to the
influence of time. The span of existence of every thing in
creation is thus limited. Sanskrit word Kala means time, it
also means the universal force which causes death. Only the
Almighty, who created 'Time', is beyond its limitations.

(2) Humans are the highest of all creation. The Vishnu
Purana says that the earth is merely one of thousands of
millions of inhabited worlds like itself to be found in the
universe. Since they are created by the one Alimighty who is
infinite, they all must look similar. This excludes the
possibility of E.T. (extra terrestial beings with fantastic
gears) proposed by some science finction writers.

(3) The Puranas say that in Krita Yuga, people lived for
10000 with peace and harmony. The esoteric texts of
medieval Europe call this period as Age of gold.

(4) Russian scientists have found that if the control
systems in the body are maintained at the same level of
efficiency as they are at the age of 16 years, using some
machinery or electronic control system, a person can live
for 10000 years. This is verified by the fact that the
percentage of persons who die at the age of 16,
due to diseases or other bodily reasons, are the
lowest compared to any other age.

(5) Modern medicine has found that 'brain sand' starts
forming in the pineal gland after the age of 16. This 'sand'
sets the process of gradual death. The pineal gland is the
third eye, and it is the seat of Mukya Prana (chief life)
according to ancient Yoga and Tantra texts. Modern madicine
found that a person can lead an almost normal life evern if
30 to 40 percent of brain matter is removed. But no person
survives if the pineal gland is removed.

(6) Almighty is eternal. Almighty is Omnipotent. Almighty is
infinite. How can the finite understand the pupose intended
by the infinite?

You are asking a fairly complex question, and it would be difficult in the context of this forum to answer fully. Many of the things you mention are reasons for why. Everything has a purpose, and if you read the scriptures you will note that life spans have changed as the world has changed.
Largely it is due to the way our atmosphere is constructed today, and the way we live, work, and eat. There are documented cases of rural Russian folk who have lived past 125. There are stories of Tibetan monks living much longer.
We (our scientists) are slowly finding out that lifespan is not fixed at 100 years. Bear in mind - would you really want to?

i think of it performs a factor. yet i easily think of what has made American's stupid is our international isolation. till we understand, like in a city, we are area of a broader international and have a broader international view we will no longer be able to maintain up with the the remainder of the international that would not have the luxurious of the Atlantic and Pacific and 10 million a lot of Nuclear warheads between themselves and different civilizations. So, i think of we are sheltered and that often breeds lack of expertise. Having traveled to and lived in over 40 countries, i will say that a international training is life changing. wish this helped. large question

I think this answers depends on your beleifs, If your a religious person, you have a soul, and your soul has a time that it is to be on earth in a physical body, and to fuffill what ever it is that the creator has in store for your life span.
On the scientific side I could see that too many elements come into play with age, such as what you eat, where you live, what chemicals are introduced to your body around you, stress, and many more.

Advice just live each day to the fullest you possibly can, and enjoy.

Those who see worldly life as an obstacle to Dharma
see no Dharma in everyday actions.
They have not yet discovered that
there are no everyday actions outside of Dharma.
