I want to see how low I can sing. I know I can go pretty low and haven't been able to find anything lower than what I can do. Is there a way to tell exactly how low my voice can go and what the lowest recorded is? (Without using fancy technology or leaving my house)

P.S. Is the person who sings the lowest in a chior called the bass?

Yes, it's bass.
There's a country singer named Josh Turner--download "Would You Go With ME", that's very low.
Also try somethink by the Oak Ridge Boys, they have a good bass singer.
Try "Elvira".

Some of the lowest notes I've heard on hit songs are:

Randy Travis "It's Just A Matter of Time"
(when he sings "I Knooooooooow...")

Oak Ridge Boys "Elivira" ("...papa-mow-mow...")

Statler Brothers "Flowers on the Wall" ("...Kang-a-roo...")

Paul Brandt (country).

Lance Bass actually sang bass in NSync. Not sure if he has any solo songs.

Listen to "Ol' Man River" from the movie "Showboat" sung by William Warfield. When he says "Ol' Man River" it's really, REALLY low!!!
