Not just in the advertisements but sometimes it's very cleverly done in TV programmes... unless of course you're watching the Goonies where there's an advert in almost every scene somewhere!! (not that I'm dissing the Goonies of course!)

Very clever there. I have noticed a lot of Coca-Cola product placement over the years, especially on American Idol. Whether you call that subliminal messaging or effective advertising, it's out there. Some of the newer Sprite commercials seem to have something like subliminal messages. They're very strange. It's tricky stuff, though.
