Did that one person say the Raiders are going to pick up Smith with the number one pick? I hope I read that wrong! I think he'll go in the 4th round to a team with a solid number one. He'll be a good backup for a while with a chance perhaps starting one day. While is wasn't completely his fault, his performance at the BCS Championship Game was awful, and severely hurt his draft status. But, he is a good quarterback with some potential, so he will get drafted and play a few years.

Troy Smith has to enter the NFL Draft this year because his college eligibility is complete. He is a senior and therefore has no opportunity to return to college to play anymore. Check out the Mock Draftboards that are available to see his projected draft position.

None of the mock drafts show the 3rd and 4th rounds, which is whereTroy Smith will go. Don't bet the rent on the Raiders drafting Smith, Al Davis doesn't like short, averaged-armed QB's. Their QB can be(frequently has been) totally worthless as long as he is tall and has a cannon arm.

Troy Smith is a 3rd rounder-maybe. Don't expect to see his name on any mock drafts..

Draft is the last weekend of April.
Smith is projected at best as a 2nd rounder. Don't be suprised if he slips down into Day 2.

He will probably go late in the 2nd round or early in the 3rd round, some even say he will still be there in the 4th round. His stock is down quite a bit since losing in the national championship to Floriday

raiders has #1 draft pick so maybe after troy they can get the offense going a little bit
