Go with Wickman or Borowski, they are the only guys who are sure fire closers. Otsuka, contrary to the prior post, is actually not closing for Texas, Eric Gagne is. Isringhausen could step aside for Adam Wainwright. Mike Gonzalez is a setupman for Wickman, Turnbow is terrible, Benitez has huge injury troubles. Valverde could close but has other question marks. Meredith is a good middle reliever, Hensley is a starter and Reyes is a lefty specialist.

Borowski is probably your best bet. He looks to have the closer role locked down in Cleveland now that Foulke retired and the Indians are going to be a really good club this season.

Otsuka is a close second because of his dominance when he took over the closer job last season. I realize he is currently the top set-up man for Eric Gagne, but you have to look at Gagne and think "injury-risk." If Gagne goes down with any sort of injury Otsuka is the man in Texas yet again. Plus, there is a chance that if Gagne is healthy the Rangers might move Otsuka for some more help to the rotation. Just a thought...

Akinori Otsuka. He had 32 saves last season and was only the closer for half the year. Plus, he only blew 4 saves. Turnbow and Isringhausen are attractive choices but Otsuka will get the job done.

Bob Wickman, nobody wins as many close games as the Braves year in and out. Remember John Smoltz, he became a closer legend in just two years with the Braves because of his opportunities. Bob also was very consistent with not blowing any.
