I never eat anything specific the day of a meet. Normally the night before we have pasta parties but I honestly couldn't care less what I eat the day of a big meet.

My theory is if you can prove that you don't have to be near-superstitious about things and you can still prove that you're the best of the best then you deserve that title or you deserve that great time. You're a true champion if your heart can get you through the race, not your stomach.

Most often when I am swimming in a whole day meet I'll eat a complete breakfast at about 8:00 depending on the time you swim you might also want to consider a small lunch. If I am swimming before the time when I would normally eat lunch I eat cliff bars which are energy bars. I will also drink a gatorade about an hour before my race.

What ever I want... I mostly eat things like peanut butter sandwiches, trail mix, sunflower seeds, and fresh fruits. Theses things are very high in carbs. Carbohydrates is what the body uses to make energy. I like to have a peach or some grapes in between the times I swim. This keeps me full and gives me that little energy boost right before I swim. I don't eat too much though. That could make you sick. And don't not eat. Your body needs all the energy it can get. So good luck...

Eat a big fulfilling carb dinner the night before. Power bars like luna, cliff, power, and such are great snacks. Bannanas. Try eating early before the meet. I also eat cold cereale (no milk), Mainly light stuff.
Have a good meet, good luck!!!!

Grape nuts cereal is a GREAT food. Coupled with milk, it is the perfect balance of carbs/protein/iron/other vitamins and minerals you will need to compete, as long as your stomach can handle a bit of milk and you eat it plenty ahead of time.
