I was shopping at Wal-Mart and when I got the register, the cashier did not notice the microwave oven I was purchasing in the carriage. She did not ring it up & I did not say anything. The buzzer never went off as I walked out so I figured it was nice freebee. Problem is, this damn microwave does not work!!!!! Am I considered a customer since it was not rung up? How do I go about getting a refund?

Sounds like that cashier needs to be retrained as we are trained for BOB (Bottom of Basket) and LISA (Look Inside Always).

As far as a refund, you stole the item! I laughed right out loud when you said that your microwave doesn't work. Maybe it's karma's way of telling you to PAY for your items?? It was probably a return that went back out on the sales floor by mistake and the box was retaped?? Did you learn anything from this experience? I hope that security was watching and the next time you enter that same store that you get busted! Our store does this....it's called cameras you dumb ***!

you can say you got it as a present and was not given a reciept. As long as it is new and looks like it was not mis treated or used they would take it back. Since you dont have a reciept, they can can only replace it for the same exact model. If they dont have anymore they cant do anything. They will tell you to contact the manufacturer and shee if they can replace it.

Call it karma that the procuct was defective since you didn't pay for it. But its also the cashiers fault for overlooking the product.

Karma! Freebee? Refund? Are you serious? Its call Karma! Now we are going to graduate to greed. Just remember this. "Didn't pay for microwave, microwave broke." "Take it back for refund and......................"

Sounds like you got exactly what you paid for!!!
Is it the cashiers job to notice the items in your pocket too.

A refund for what? In order to get a "refund", shouldn't you have outlaid some funds?

You expect to get a refund on something you didn't pay for? I don't think so. That would be stealing twice.

Take it back and get a store credit, just tell them you lost the receipt
