Being chased on a dark country road by someone at 90 miles an hour. He then passed me and blocked the road, I had back up and was doing at least 60 until I saw lights and could get someone to let me into their house.

Something similar happened to me when I was 17. I was home alone because my parents had gone on vacation. I was awakened by a loud banging on the front door. My brother had an apartment in a building a few doors down and in my half-asleep stupor, I thought it was him and opened the door. It was a strange man, but thankfully he had been chased for quite a while and begged me to close the door and just let him rest inside for a few minutes and he would leave. Well....I freaked out and called the cops and they were there in about 2 minutes. They got my story and his story and warned me about letting strange men into the house and I just kind of melted and cried my head off. I didn't want them to leave. They fixed me warm milk and gave me aspirin and left after about 15 minutes. I never told my folks about it because I was afraid they'd never leave me at home alone again. Ever since then I've been very careful about opening the door to people I don't know.

I was getting ready to go hunting with a buddy of mine while he was loading his shotgun in the house ( a big no no ) it went off and missed me by about a foot and a half. It took me at least 2 to 3 minutes to realized what just happened.

I was chased by a pack of dogs, fell down and the dogs started fighting with themselves over me. I was 10 years old. If a hunter hadn't have come by and scared them away I don't know what would have happened. (I was in a wooded lot)

Something similar happened to someone very dear to me, except she was beaten and hurt so severely that she almost didn't make it. Coma, emergency surgery, induced coma to subdue her from the pain and trauma... She was in the hospital for over two months. I'm so glad I didn't lose her.
