Hey all, I need a new power supply. I am running off an old 300W supply I pulled from an un-used computer. To get it to fit into my case, I needed to make a 1/2 inch wooden spacer to get it to fit.
http://support.gateway.com/s/POWER/6500684/6500684mv.shtml is my original power supply. Anyone know what type that is? I want to buy from NewEgg, so what should I search for? (My case has an arm that holds down the PSU and no screws...so I need a either perfect size PSU or a spacer...and I dont want a spacer) Thanks!

Hi. The PSU size is based on the form factor of the box, such as ATX. Most new boxes use this form factor. Just a tip, don't scrimp on the PSU that you DO get because you can always remove it. I use an Antec 480 TruePower and have never had a problem. There are many other good PSUs out there and NewEgg has always treated me good.

The fan on top is a custom Gateway design, not standard.

Check the External Links to: (near bottom of Wikipedia® page)

The measurements of standard ATX power supply are there. Fans are internal, but you may be able to make a standard ATX power supply fit.
