I put bearing grease under the door handle, not peanut butter. What a mess! Especially if you get the bearing grease for trucks, i think has Molybdenum in it or something, really stains your skin, nasty black stuff.
You can also toss small onions up the tailpipe. If they go far enough to make it into the muffler (where they'll stay) it'll stink for WEEKS. You can also cram taters into the tailpipe. If they have a good exhaust system the car won't start, or will start for awhile then die. Be sure to cram them in far enough that they won't see them (or "it" for a single pipe), ram it in with a broom handle, then pick up any sheared off pieces that are left after jamming it up there. (Get one big enough that it fits tight). One possible complication if the car might blow the tater out the pipe. If you get a "valve core removal tool" you can pull the valve cores out of the valve stems and flatten tires without actually damaging the tires. I've also heard of people glueing the tires to the ground, unsure if they get some type of runny glue and put it around the tires and li gets into the tread or what, but have heard stories of cars getting glued to the ground.

Oatmeal won't hurt the paint if it is washed off in a couple of days.
The funniest car prank I ever saw was when some people (I can't name them here, I have 5th Amendment protection) filled my friend's Pontiac Bonneville with wadded up newspaper, top to bottom. It filled a small dumpster when he cleaned it out.
I also had a friend who had a small Fiat. One day three of us picked up the rear end (the drive wheels) and moved it to the other side of the parking lot. It took him twenty minutes to find it. For that prank you need a light car and strong friends, though.

I wouldn't put anything on the paint if I were you. If the car has handles that are pull handles then you can stick peanut butter or toothpaste or something else gooey up into the area they would stick their fingers so they get a gooey surprise. And if it hurts paint under handle it doesn't show.

A sneaky one would be the ol' put peanut butter underneath their door handle gag. That never gets old, but you have to be around to witness them try to open their doors.
Or you could just cut their brake line! That'd be a surprise!!!

Here's an idea grow up and not trash other people's property. You wouldn't like it if they did it to you. If you're really beefin' with somebody get yourself a college education and a decent job. Then you'll have your revenge. But no that looks like work.
