They do it so they can pee on the toilet and make you angry.. I wish my youngest son would pee sitting down. Geez.. Hopefully he'll never be a marksman.. He can't even pee in a straight line..

If im out of the house i pee standing up. Public bathrooms for the most part are disgustingly dirty. If I am at home and it is during the day I will pee standing up. However at night i sit to pee, reason why is beacouse I do not turn on the lights to go to the bathroom it hurts the eyes, so it is easier to sit down and not worry about missing the toilet.

They can do either. It is easier to do it standing, just unzip. fish it out and aim, then shake the last drop off and zip up. They don't have to bare their *** for all to admire. Also, It is more convenient outside in the winter.
For doing it sitting, It is difficult to find a dry toilet seat, because every so often there is a jerk that doesn't raise the lid and splatters all over everything, It is also hard to find a stall in a public restroom because some pigs take about an hour to do their business, they sit on the throne and talk on their cell phones, make noises and grunt and then don't flush. I guess that makes them real men.

I can't answer for all the guys, but here is my personal response. When I sit on the toilet, I have to actually use grab my penis and push it downward pass the toilet seat to actually get a clear shot to pee. It is quite uncomfortable and inconvenient. It is easier to stand and pee.

Of course we can pee sitting down, do it all the time when we are going #2 or too drunk to stand up. But why bother pulling down the pants and underwear when all you have to do is unzip, flip it out and let fly. If your man is poor aim, you need to talk to him, I hit the bowl every time, and any drips on the rim are cleaned up when I finish.

I too am guessing that the block is more beneficial psychological that actual. you've been conscious of peeing at the same time as sitting so that is not any longer going to be an elementary substitute to do it at the same time as status up. basically stand actual in the front of the rest room, take out your *cough*, and target it in route of the water.

Oh such a simple answer - because we can!

Most of us have pretty good aim, unless we've had a few beers. Some of us would prefer not to pee sitting down, since we have to tuck everything INSIDE the seat, with resulting contact to porcelain, or even worse, water. Yuk.

You have a lot of good answers here, except that gay comment, which is not accurate. But, its faster, and guys as a group lean more toward the practical. At any concert, look at the lines for the men's and women's rooms; that's why public restrooms are designed in this way, and why our culture encourages it.
