Why aren't you suppose to kill a mockingbird? (lol, i totally forgot...Miss Maudie said it)

It is a sin to kill a mockingbird because they dont do anything but sing beautiful songs for everyone and they dont harm anyones crops or anything. Mrs. Muadie said this to Scout when she asked her because Atticus told her so when they were talking about shooting.
Atticus told her that he would prefer it if she just shoot tin cans but if she would rather shoot at something alive than shoot blue jays because there are plenty of them around. But whatever you do dont shoot the mockingbird for it is a sin.
There are many examples of mockingbirds in the book. For example Boo Radley is since all he does is stay inside his house and does whatever but everybody harms him by making up stories about him and stuff. Another example is Tom Robinson he is a normal person who does nothing to the world but since he is black everybody wants to do stuff to him and provoke him. And lastly is Atticus Finch because he makes no damage to the world or any one in it all he does is do good like helping Tom Robinson and shooting dogs that are dangerous.

Mockingbirds are peaceful, as was the man Atticus Finch was defending. The whites all wanted to kill the black man, just basically because he was black so he was the perfect scapegoat. The whites would rather have the real white criminal go free just to get rid of a peaceful black man who did nothing wrong. It's a very powerful story.

ok the book its self is stupid but to kill a moking bird is a sin because they dont hurt anybody.
