It needs to be something that affects all types of people-Newsworthy. It needs to be something that I can localize-I need to get 2 interviews. I live in Florida. Also, I am looking for some unique ideas, a story that hasn't been done before-things like high gas prices have been done etc. Or if it is a story which has been done before if you have an idea for a new interesting spin on it. Any ideas will be very much appreciated.

Well there's alot of topics you can do since your in Florida.
Here's a list of them;
1) Whats happening in Disney world.
2) Gas prices (Is it fair that the prices are rising)
3) Global Warming
4) Anything thats happening in your school
And much much more
You have to have a 'Hook' in the begging paragraph to grab peoples attention when u write articles. If your'e going to do Disney World you can start with;
Games,rides,cotton candy all over Disney World. Kids and parents laughing and screeming. Smiles all over everyones face. Is Disney World the place to be in? Well ______ a teen in Disney world says "________________" But a parent has a different opinoin "_____________" So maybe the kids like all the laughter,sweets and rides but some of the parents dont.
Disney World is located in Orlando Florida....
And just keep going on.

You could do a story on the immigration raids on Swift & Co. in the midwest. The spin would be the families affected. I just read a story today about a legal immigrant married to an illegal immigrant and they had 5 kids. She's being deported, he owns a country-western store and went from $5000 a month in sales to $600 a month. So even though he's legal, his business has suffered and he has no idea how to get his business back up and take care of his five legal kids at the same time. It's the opposite side of the story, how legals suffer because of immigration crack-down.

Gasoline does a lot of harm to the environment. I think a good article would be what is being made and how soon can we start using environmentaly friendly energy. The 3 that are going to save the world is wind energy, solor energy, and thermal energy. I am taking an Environmental Health class and it has really surprized me how interesting it is and how much I didn't realize.
