how can i make a cd burner work on my network?

i tried right clicking the cd burner drive on the computer im trying to burn with and i hit the sharing and security button and enabled it. it shows up in "my network places" but is not accessible from my computer and my roxio program will not detect it... can anyone help??

Because files are transfered over a network much slower then they are transfered between a hard drive and a DVD drive on the same computer. Generally you can NOT transfer the files fast enough to burn them to a DVD.

The best way to do it, is to transfer the files to the hard drive of the PC with the burner. And then to burn the DVD from that computer, rather then to try to burn it over the network.
