How do you find a new OB/GYN in my area?

Question

I need to find a new OB/GYN in the area and want to know how does one go about finding a great one. My current one is great but impossible to get in to see.

I live around Charlotte.

if you have insurance check your insurance first and find a doctor that way another good way to do is ask a couple of your friends and see what doctors they see

Talk with other women. I only go to a new dr. that my friends, coworkers or family members have tried and I get their opinions.
Also, check their hours and if it fits into your needs, schedule a consult before scheduling an appt. Tell the person answering the phone you want to meet the dr. before you set up for an exam. This is normal practice when you are looking for a new dr. Basically you are interviewing them to see if their personality is what you want. But remember, first talk with other women that you respect.
