What kinds of souvenirs do you bring home from your vacations?

1. Do you look for anything specific or something different in each place?

2. How do you choose what type of souvenirs to buy?

3. Where are all your souvenirs now?

4. Have they turned into junk, do they collect dust, or do you display them or use them?

I do bring home souvenirs. I collect old Christmas ornaments, so I look for unusual ornaments at local shops or even thrift stores.
I hang them on the tree every year.

For the grandchildren, we usually get books, maybe a tshirt or an odd or handmade toy.

Usually I buy thimbles for my mother in law. She has a gigantic collection of thimbles from all over the world (about 1500!)
For me, I just buy a magnet. I like to see all the places I've visited every time I open the refrigerator. I think this answers questions 1 and 2. Of course, all my souvenirs are on my refrigerator right now (question 3), they haven't turned to junk yet and I love to display them!! (question 4). I think magnets are a fun and inexpensive way of remembering about those places you loves to visit.

I usually get a spoon (which I collect & display) and a shot glass (which I collect, use and will soon be displaying). I recently started those penny presses too, since they're way cheaper, which is great if you're visiting a lot of places in the same area. Those just go in the little books they have for them... so I collect, but don't really display them.

2. I look to see what I want in the gift shop.

3. In my closet, on my bed, refridgerator, candy jar, etc.

4. I use 1/2 of them, the other 1/2 turns to *poof* dust!!!
