I am buying a 120 gallon tank w stand and accessories. The existing fish are "huge" and appear to be in great health. There are 6 of them. (One of them is larger than my small pomeranians!) PETCO employees had no idea - no suggestions at all. I need advice on the whole process of transporting fish and equipment. I appreciate any helpful advice.

Small mom and pop pet stores will probably have the large styrofoam boxes that they receive fish in around. Some may even have the super big plastic fish bags still around as well. If not, then they would most likely be willing to save a few for you the next time they get fish, they might want a few dollars for them, but it would be worth the investment. That's the way wholesale outlets ship fish so it's bound to get the job done for you too.

Holy Huge Gold Fish!! Bigger than your Pomeranian? What the heck do they eat? Pomeranian?

If you can find one big enough, I would suggest a cooler. It's insulated so helps to keep the water temp more even and that is important so they don't get ick. Sams Club has some huge ones, not the Styrofoam kind, they are plastic with wheels and a handle you can pull. Just want to be gentle with the fish.

Good Luck, and be careful your pomeraninan doesn't fall in the tank. They'd probably have him for supper!

Fill some large, clean food coolers with water. If they've ever been washed with soap, make sure they are rinsed very well. A 120 gallon tank won't be big enough for the fish size and bioloads.

When I was moving I put my fish in a cooler, that kept the water temp from dropping to fast and then when you get to your destination you can put your submersible heater and a aerator in the cooler and you can set up your aquarium without feeling pressed for time. Keep a eye on the water temp don't let it drop to much.keep a close eye on your fish,I would get a water conditioner that will put a slime coat on them and put some aquarium salt in the water that will also help in preventing disease.

Place them each in different plastic bags, each half filled with relatively cold water than the atmosphere and fill the rest up with your air or oxygen pump. Before transporting place them in dark place in your vehicle such as underneath the seats to minimize the transportation stress on the fishes. Remember that colder water helps to reduce the stress level on the fishes.

Well... the best way I think would be get 6 large thick plastic bags, fill them up enough to cover each koi and put water (preferly from their pond/tank) in the bags. Close the bags and "catch" air when you do it so the bags have air. Use rubber band to shut. One koi per bag.
Place the bags in the large plastic bins or something similar and this should work just fine for that distance.

The way they are shipped to manufacturers:
They come in plastic bags like I described in styrafoam boxes.

Koi are fine if the water temp stays down, you just want to make sure it doesn't get too hot.

I agree with alot of your ideas (they're really good). The idea of having more realism in the game sounds refreshing. I was getting so bored/annoyed of the cartoonish Sims 2, they should really "step up" the game play in the Sims 3 as you have already mentioned in your ideas. You should really send in your ideas to EA! I think alot of Sim fan/players will agree with your ideas. * I really hope that they continue to refine the Sims 3 instead of leaving it the way it is now. <:(
