I need a quick and easy way to dry up my milk... any ideas or comments would be great. My boobs a very sore and extra swollen because I haven't nursed in a few days. I have a kidney infection and had to stop nursing as soon as I started my medicine. It isn't OK at all for the baby to have. But I am OK with giving up the nursing because he is way old enough to stop now. Thanks so much for the help.

Wrap them really tight with an ace bandage they will not have any room and will dry out within 3-4 days

There's no way to "dry" them up, they have to do that on their own. The best way to do it, pain-free, is to express just enough milk to get rid of the swelling and the discomfort, but don't pump anymore than that. It'll slow very quickly, and eventually stop all together. It takes a while for this to occur.

Stopping nursing cold turkey isn't a good idea. After nursing regularly for so long, and you just stop, that's obviously going to make you very uncomfortable. It should be done gradually for best results.

Old wives tale. Cabbage leaves, lol. The link is from the baby center, looks like it's a common question. :)
