Metal Gear Solid 4 is a PS3 title that's not even completed yet, so I'm gonna presume you mean Metal Gear Solid 3.
Metal Gear Solid 3 is a masterpiece, and definitely the better of the two... But The Godfather is also very good - good storyline, nice graphics, excellent presentation and nice gameplay.
It's definitely worth getting both games.

You should stick with your original PS2 instincts. You said you like RPG's and Fighters. They don't really have those for the Wii. The Wii is meant for kids and "non-gamers" according to Nintendo... So if you want more adult themed games go the PS2 road. Graphics wise, the difference between the PS2 and the Wii is amazing. Amazing that the difference is so small. The Wii is weak, stick with what you know or save up more money for a 360 or a PS3. That's the real investment.

Every MGS game is better then the Godfather... amazing story, compelling graphics, amazing sounds and voice acting, brilliant gameplay and very replayabe... the best games of all time in my eyes... and when MGS4 comes out, it'll be way better than the Godfather, trust me

I absolutley hate the camera on mgs 4. Overhead view is for gameboy or nes. I would have to go with godfather
