Do you mean the connection between the hub and the internet/ADSL? This is because the hub is "intelligent" and synchronises with the telephone exchange to maximise your download speed. You should only lose connectivity for between 20 and 60 seconds. If it happens for longer, then you need to report it as a fault with BT and they'll help you out.
If you mean the wireless connection between your computer and the hub, this could be for a number of reasons e.g. not strong enough signal etc. it could also be the BT wireless connection software being a bit flakey which was a problem I had. I won't go into detail here on what to do about this (it's quite straight forward, but may not be relevant). If it is, then post another question and I'll endeavour to explain.

mine does the same thing! sometimes you can control it, sometimes it's outside your control. e.g. avoid putting anything on the cable, and avoid tripping over it. the two dangers with doing that come from unplugging the thing slightly, and damaging the copper itself either at the insert point or by excessive weight (or a sharp movement/object) ripping through the wire.
there are times when bad weather will affect the connection. there's a test you can do from both your bt software and/or internet explorer to test the connection. it doesnt' do any good really, just tells you that you have no internet (!) and perhaps where the connection is faulty. So you know exactly what's buggering you for posterity.
Possible solutions include, getting an ethernet connection, going wireless is probably the most practical but unplugging your unsubscribing from internet are probably the most failsafe methods of ensuring you don't get a connection problem.
whenever it happens to me i just test my connections and make a cup of tea. what else is there?

howdy. many times the lighting fixtures ought to consistently be flashing. if it keeps cutting out i'd advise turning it on and rancid lower back. in the experience that your downloading or some thing the lighting fixtures will flash to show information is being transferred. if no longer touch bt and ask for a alternative.
