Don't take a tour especially in adventuress countries like this, well I am totally against tours or anything touristy for that matter. I have been to Egypt twice and Morocco, as well as Tunisia, I also lived there for 6 months. Egypt is by far the coolest place I have been so far, we did this desert tour of the oasis and camped in the desert with some beduin's for about 2 weeks. I used this independant tour guide his name was Peter Gaballah, egyptoffroad.com. He was great and he knows every inch of the desert. Another thing that you should see in Egypt is Dahab and Sharm el Sheik, beautiful beaches, full of half naked european tourists and hippies from all over the world. Of course you have to see Luxor and the valley of the kings, maybe abu simbel. Oh and right before you leave Egypt you have to visit the kahn il kalili, it's a very old historical market (suk) in Cairo. Watch out for all those guys that will try to cheat you out of money, they charge american's 5 times what they charge anyone else. Morocco is cool too but I'm not as firmiliar with Morocco as I am with Egypt. There's also the night market in Marrakech which is cool, the later you stay the wilder it gets. Driving across the atlas mountains is nice as well. There are some neat berber villages in the desert, but watch out for any locals trying to scheme you into buying anything, my philosophy is never let them put anything in your hand. I would love to go to South Africa and I have been planning a dream safari trip to Southern Africa for quite some time that will be my next conquest. Have fun!!

Egypt, Morocco, and Turkey are all fantastic.
I really hope to be able to visit the rest of Northern Africa too.
The people are really nice.
I prefer not to take tours but wouldn't mind doing the Nile one someday.
I would recommend to study, study, study any of these places because there is so much to learn and then when I was in-country I still studied and came home and read more.
Cairo is fun and then also taking a train to Alexandria is fun too make sure you see the catacombs there.
In Morocco Marakesh is really interesting.

There are lots of good bargains in either of these places.

I have already gone to Egypt 3 times this year. I just love the culture and people there. But I spend almost all of my time living in Upper Egypt with the people. It is very primative and poor.

I was in Egypt 3 years ago and had the best time! I was kinda young and inexperienced with international traveling so I went with a small group, which I thought was better. I felt safer and had more fun with others who shared the same interests. Its worth the money and time to visit as much as Egypt as you possibly can!! I dont know how much time/money you have to spend, but Id say try to visit Egypt for at least 2 weeks or more if possible. THeres so much to experience! Before you go, read as many books as you can about Egyptian history. Because once you get there and see everything in front of your eyes, you'll be absolutly amazed! Of course, the pyramids were astounding and when I was there, they let us in two of the 3 pyramids of Giza, so definetly check that out! If you like shopping, check out the Khan-AL-Khalili Bazaar, but brush up on your haggling techniques. I also highly recommend a Nile cruise and visiting the local towns. Just make sure you read up on Egyptian customs and HAVE FUN!!! I felt the people were very friendly and look forward to returning soon! If you go during summer, take LOTS of sunscreen, wear hats, sunglasses and drink LOTS of water, but make sure its bottled water with an unbroken cap and not the local water. One of my friends made that mistake and paid dearly for a day or two with stomache cramps, vomiting, etc....enjoy and good luck!

I went to Morocco and Egypt. Between the two I would definetly go to Egypt. Egypt is inexpensive and they try hard to please. The historical sights are also fascinating. Egypt's Red Sea also has spectacular snorkeling or diving. I cannot tell you much about Morocco, I was only there for a short time.

i wonder why you insist to put "q"s instead of "g"ees?

Edit:
ah..and about your mail;
Message: uh, can you say typo?
Do you have anything constructive to say or are you just so miserable with your life that you like to hang out on anwers.yahoo late at night picking apart other people?

1. I have many things constructive to say especially about Egypt, but i thought to make this comment which i thought rather constructive, at least to you if you enhanced your typing skills next time.
2. It's not late at night, it's in the morning.
3. My life is not miserable at all, thank you.
4. sorry i offended you i didn't know that Egypt section has "sensitive", zero sense of humour, non sarcastic people.
5. sorry for writing too much on something doesn't worth the reply, but i m really bored.
6. And last thing, i m sorry i posted your reply and mine on public, you seem not expecting any mails as you don't allow others to e-mail you, but you allow yourself to message me..so i had to..
God i m bored..
Bye.

i don't recomend to you visit more than 1 country of all those, at least Egypt have a lot to see, so you can concentrate and enjoy in one of those places, difcult to vote for other countries cause i'm Egyptian so i let for you the choice and if you need any info about it here, you can contact back.
