I want to buy a good gaming desktop computer. There are so many sites out there (ex. Alienware, ShuttlePC, WidowPC, among others) its hard to figure out which ones are better than others.
What is the best site to buy a gaming PC for a reasonable price?

Most sites for gaming PCs are a ripoff. Buy an HP with good specs. Don't get a video card for it. You can get a really fast HP for about $1000. That comes with monitors and everything. You'll need a good power supply and a nice video card. Go for 600-700W power supply. Then buy an 8800 video card. It'll perform way better than an Alienware or whatever of the same price.
Edit: Please don't buy Dell.

It really all comes down to how much you're willing to spend and if later upgrades/customizations are important.
Dell does make excellent gaming PCs (since they just bought Alienware, it's only going to get better). However, they tend to use proprietary parts (motherboard, power supply, case, etc), so later upgrades can be difficult or impossible.
Alienware is one of the top names in the gaming industry, but they also tend to get a little proprietary. They are also a little more expensive.
Usually voted the best in the performance category is Falcon Northwest http://www.falcon-nw.com
Their PCs are VERY expensive, but worth every penny if you can afford it.

You could buy awesome custom built PCs at eBay and if u dont want custom built already u can buy ur own parts. THey ship it to u and might be free shipping/
