What are the pros and cons/for and against for benevolent dictatorship?

These are the pros:
They are wise heroes.
They are loved by their constituents.
Their countries usually provide basic needs like healthcare, social welfare and education for all of their citizenry.
They don't have to spend endless hours debating minutiae to come up with non binding resolutions.
They can keep taxes at a minimum because they are not funding special interest groups.
They manage there country with a firm fiscally sound budget.
Benevolent implies altruistic activity for the benefit of the citizenry instead of lining the pockets of cronies.

The Cons:

Some people would rather haggle, waggle, waste taxpayers money, line their own pockets and get there bigger piece of the pie so they would probably uprise and threaten the benevolent dictator.
