Why do you think Ponyboy's life was still troubled after the court hearing?
This is from the book 'The outsiders' by S,E Hinton, this is when Ponyboy was still in a very bad shape even after the judge said that he could stay with his family...
Thank you!

Nothing Had Been Different. Yes he could stay with Darry, but johnny and Dally were still dead, and he was stilll an outsider (hence the name of the book.) Evrything was still stuck there, and nothing was different, everthing ws still chaotic and jumbled and crazy.

Because nothing had improved. His life was the same - chaotic and unstructured. He was still an "outsider"; this affected his outlook and heart and behavior. He was a despairing soul and believed that life would never get better.

He was a mess because he lost his family.
He had to stay with his older brother and
his friends. It's a big adjustment for him.
He wanted to prove himself, he messed up
and then ran away. It took the death of a
close friend to turn him around...........
