I can't seem to find the answer to this question in my book:

Most plays are about
a. conflicts between two different groups of people
b. conflicts between individuals
c. changes in settings and costumes
d. changes in the characters and their relationships

I know this seems simple, but I need the right answer.

I would have to say D. Take for example Romeo and Juliet, you might think it's about the conflict between the Mont. family and the Capulet's, but in actuality it's about Romeo and Juliet and how they change and how their love grows.

c and d are basic characteristics of all plays, and have nothing to do with what they are about.

So the choice is between a and b

i would say b, because the main focus of most plays is one the conflict between individuals (the protagonist and antagonist)

That's usually what Shakespeare's plays are about.
