this is my daughters name and she is 17 months i sometimes feel like i should of spelled her name different or named her ashley?

I think it's fine. Ashley is a common name, at least Alise is original. You definitely do not want to go through having your daughter badgering you about why you named her Ashley when there are so many Ashleys in this world already.

No...I think it is a pretty name. I it will grow well with her. Sometimes people choose cutsie names that will embarrass them as adults. You did well...stop worrying! And Alise is a common spelling of the name.

No. Original or semi-original names are in and will save on confusion in class. I like the name and I think it should be spelled like that. Good choice.

Sorry, but I hate it. It's just that I know a really mean girl in my school named that. Maybe you should have had it Ashley or Alice, but do whatever you want, she's your daughter.

yes i do. my cousin's name is spelled elise. i think its cute and sweet. ashley is kinda boring. i know a ton of ashley's. alise is something unique!

it's pretty, i sometimes regret naming mine ambrosia, i think it doesn't matter what we name em, in one way or another we'll regret it now and then and love it at other times. i like alise though, no worries
