I mean like generally, you're standing around and people are using them around you, not directed at you, or just joking around. I can't stand it.

yes, but more so now. i'm married to a mexican and we have 2 girls together. before i would've been pissed but not said or done anything. now i speak my mind about it, b/c i don't want my babies to feel that way about themselves. so as they grow i believe i'm growing.

Yes. And I can't believe the people telling me racist jokes lately. I can't believe how ignorant people are and they get all offended that I'm offended by it. Does anyone have any good white jokes I can throw back at them. I know I'm white but they need to see how it feels to be made fun of just because of stereotypes. Grr. Now I'm just mad.

They do make me feel uncomfortable, especially if the people the racial jokes are about are nearby. Some people are just wrong.

They don't really bother me even if they are directed at me. I couldn't change my race even if I wanted to, so I don't worry about it. I just accept that there will always be people in this world who would say things like that.

I know. I hate it. You'd think that after so long, people would get used to having different races. Hello??! It's so immature.

I usually ignore them, if someone wants to display their ignorance, it isn't any of my business.
On the other hand, if it's directed at someone who is within hearing distance it ticks me off.

Yes, they bother me....but I think they are free speech. I think ignorant people use them. Just proves they are ignorant.

a slur to someone is one thing...but when a slur is thrown at you just because of what color you are...that's just plain wrong.
