Definitely do not miss the Renaissance Fair, as suggested in Apache Junction, Also, that week starts the Arizona baseball Spring training. Many games in Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tempe and also nearby in Maryvale. Cubs tickets in Mesa are hard to get on game days, but all the games are cheap and great to get some "rays" and see some decent Major League baseball in a low key atmosphere!

Go to Alice Cooperstown Restaurant if you like Rock n' Roll (its near the ballpark and the food is good ) http://www.alicecooperstown.com/ .

Heard Museum - March 3 & 4 is their annual Indian Fair (I got some great artwork when I was there).

I also enjoyed the desert botanical gardens when I visited Phoenix.
