can people track if you've been to their myspace?

I heard it was impossible to see everyone who has been to your myspace. And those myspace trackers never work. Can they?

Yes.
MySpace has a security hole by simply allowing HTML, which can indirectly be used to execute scripts and/or JAVA applets that gather the data needed to report who's visited your page.

----Why it Can Work---------------------------------------------------

HTML can, for example, be used to load a server-side script (AKA .asp, .php, etc.) from another site in an and that script can grab section info from HTML that defines things like the user's name...even by something as simple as searching for the text after "logged in as" or as complex as searching through all the "name=" values for each HTML object in a page until it finds the one that denotes the viewing user's name...and grabbing its value IE the name of the view. JAVA applets, loaded from another site via an HTML tag, can accomplish exactly the same process. But the programming requirements for making such a tool (that avoids using HTML tags that set off security flags and "disabling themselves") are pretty steep and hence many of the trackers people create fail, being censored out as dangerous by Myspace's own defense scripts. ************************************************************ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
