You may want to qualify your question by asking who has been TRADITIONALLY published. Places like Authorhouse and lulu are self-publishing sites, which means anyone can publish their book without any sort of review.

I think you want to know about people who have been published traditionally.

Spider:
I wrote two books, both are published. The Good Weeds and The Family Weed. Stories of kids growing up in the 1940's and 50's.
Browse to Publishers & Agents. Many publishers out there. They will tell you how to send your manuscript and also what kind of stories they handle. I sent out many, many and got three answers to the negative. One took three years to answer. This is why I went the self publish route. Be very carefull, there are bad guys out there trying to get as many of your $$ as they can for nothing. Check (Warnings & Cautions for Writers.) Also, my books are listed on the net in Amazon and others and in three years I have sold not one book this way. The only way to sell books is with Book Signings. If you decied to go self publish, contact me and I will help for no charge.

I recently published a book called "Red Bird Just Like This" It's available through Authorhouse.com or Amazon.com or you can order it through Barnes& Noble. It's written by Earl Jesse Stevens.
My 2nd book "Blue Bird Into The Black" will be released in March 2007. Read the book and if you still want to talk, we;ll talk. They're both autobiographical novels. If you don't think it's the most nitty gritty, down to the bone, truest tale I can tell you I'll polish the doorknob of Heaven for you and take your place in Hell.
