Malaysia is as good a place to start a new life as any other country. The grass always looks greener on the other side of the fence. Getting a job depends on your qualifications and skills. As a developing country, there are many jobs here but employers are picky because there are so many candidates to choose from. You would need a working permit and many companies are not willing to spend time and money getting you one (unless you are really good and they need you) and you can't apply for one without an employer! On the other hand, you could join (or volunteer for) an international organization and apply to be posted to Malaysia.

Decide on your skills first, then do an online search for the types of jobs available here. Then, come and visit first (or attend an interview). Get to know the country in better detail before any decision. You may then decide that the grass is not be as green as where you are from.

Honestly, its not easy for a foreigner to get a job in malaysia. You have to apply for a work permit and everything, but that doesnt mean that it will be approved. They will allow you to work here only if you have skills or talents that the locals do not have, or if you're looking to do jobs that the locals do not want to do i.e. hard labour jobs and jobs that pays very little.

A piece of advice, from a girl to another girl. Be very careful of those offering you jobs. You know what i mean, and we hear these stories all the time.

Malaysia is a great country, but it has so many faces. And then there is Sabah & Sarawak, on Borneo, too... why not come over on a holiday (as a backpacker, the hard way...) and get a feel for Malaysia. Who knows, there are lots of oportunities here if you stay humble and tolerant...

no worries... you can choose any job you want in Malaysia. Employer in Malaysia prefer to choose foreigners as their workers. I can see people from Indonesia, Vietnam, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Cambodia, Myanmar and you name it everywhere in here. There are wide range of sector you can join either from plantation, construction to maid industry. The bottomline is you don't have to be a rocket scientist to work in Malaysia.

How easy it is ? Depends where you come from & the education, working experience you have. Find a Malaysian man as a husband, that would make things much easier...lol.

you are 23yrs old. where are your parents. do they know what you are doing or did you run away from home kid. This is life not a joke. If you mix with the wrong crowd you could end up a new life in drugs or prositution. Think b4 u ask.
