I have no idea what the problem may be ... I brought my '95 Mitsubishi 3000gt SL to a mechanic, and I was told the bushings were bad on the front lower control arms, both left and right. I just got the lower control arms replaced expecting the problem to be fixed ... but it wasn't. I just got my tires balanced today, but the problem still isn't solved.

My car has an extremely violent rattle past 65mph. It gets violent at the point of acceleration. The more I Floor the gas pedal, the more it Rattles. But like I said ... it's a scary, VIOLENT rattle. It's not your normal little shake at high speed. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? The shaking started a few months ago and gradually increased to a violent, undriveable rattle past 65mph. Sometimes when I Downshift, I hear a Cluck, Cluck, Cluck noise coming from under the car. Weird. Noone knows what it is. Thanks

If I was guessing, I would look at the drive shaft. I bet that it may be bent or that the U-joints are so worn as to allow the drive shaft to wobble. Should be easy to diagnose for a mechanic with a hoist

a few suggestions which may or not be the answer.:

Most likely:
Could be a loose flywheel.
Transmission is loose from engine.
Transmission bearing are shot.
Bent drive shaft or U joint.

Not likely but maybe:

broken engine mount.
Loose lug nuts.
A very warped rotor.
Bad wheel bearings.
A warped rim or tire.

Sounds like a driveline problem. You could have a bad u-joint or cv joint. The transmission could be bad. It would be best to have it checked before it causes damage or leaves you stranded.

The wheels in all probability could be rebalanced. as a techniques because of the fact the engine code, take it to a actual save and have them diagnose it...do no longer hear to aspects jockey idiots, maximum know no longer something.

I'm not sure about the shifting, but if you don't think that is related, look at your rims to see if any of them are bent. I've had experience with a bent rim, with similar symptoms.
