You would think they would want to stay away if gay people bothered them so much...yet they practically reside in gayville just so that they can be down on homosexuality. Aside from a portion of them who are in the closet and afraid someone will find them out, does anyone else have any reasoning for this?

Some are ignorant, some are gay themselves.
I heard of a study once, they had a group of straight men who had no problems with gays, and just let them be, and a group of gay-hating homophobes.
They made both parties of people watch gay porn. They measured arousal levels on both groups.
Overall the homophobes had a higher arousal level.

Let me say this loud and clear heterosexuals are not afraid of homosexuals we know that homosexuals are tearing down the fabric of our society and exposing our young people to immoral acts male dogs don,t lay together but humans that can reason do it is against God and man and nature people are weak especially women it is up to the men of this world to combat this behavior word to the homosexuals not all people who participate in homosexual acts are homosexuals but one day there will be a back lash against all homosexuals and you wont be able to hide because you are already out of the closet then what will you do you will be shunned by all until the day you die and then you will spend eternity in hell on fire so have your fun for tomorrow is coming soon a lot of women think that just because a man still want,s to sleep with you that you can have women too sure a man will lay with you because that is all your good for no self respecting man would have you for a WIFE just sex

Haha, that guy has grow to be so pathetic his factor isn't even offensive anymore. yet in answer on your question, i think there are human beings like that, yet then some human beings actually are relatively huge *******. i does not decide to think of the guy you mentioned is gay, I actually have a greater opinion of gay human beings and don't think of a gay guy or woman would be that bitter. hi, i'm bigotted against homophobes, whatcha gonna do.

I don't think decent straight people Hate Gay people, I think they have a concern when it comes to the Societal Changes homosexuals want, I also think they want to understand more where a homosexual person is coming from..
I don't agree with Homosexuality behaviour, but I also don't believe in abortion and so I have a concern when the political climate might change on these issues..
However I think Homosexuals have a right to be heard and I like or at least try to understand people, even the ones I don't agree with..

i am a straight guy...maybe when i was younger i had some issues with gay people...but once i was older and clubbing and meeting all sorts ofpeople i really began to understand that gays are just as different as anyone else...the only thing i dont like about gayness is the people who are gay and in this day and age try to make themselves straight...life is too short ot be faking it...just do whats natural to you...
and yes the homophobes are probably gayer than the gayest gay!!! and hate what they see inthe mirror everyday, and hate that others can be out and move on with their lives!

I agree! There is a person on here called Princess doris and ALL she does is bash gay people! If she hates them so much,why is she always on here??These people have nothing better to do,they need to get a freakin life!!

There seems to be two common groups when it comes to them.
One of them is much less hateful and only sees themselves as helping. "Please accept Jesus and he will help you through this sin. We're just here to help you so nothing bad happens to you. You're confused and this is a mistake that can be fixed."
The other most common is much more hateful and judging. "Repent or burn in Hell sinner! God hates your kind and I will see fit that this Earth will be a living Hell for you! The very thought of your kind just wants to make me wanna do all kinds of things to you!"
Needless to say, both usually have been failed attempts, more so for the later group.
