I have an hp psc750 all in one printer which does not have an ehernet sockt. I have 2 laptops which both connect wirelessly to a netgear dg834g router. Laptop 1 is always in use in the living room. Laptop 2 is always in use in the dining room. Printer is in upstairs study. If I want to print I have to plug the printer in to the laptop and print, no problem. But am lazy. How can I make my printer wireless. Do I need a wireless printer server or can i do it a cheaper way with something like a wireless dongle that I can just plug into the back of the printer.

You can get a USB/Wireless (802.11a/b/g) print server for about £70

You basically plug the printer via usb into the item and then wirelessly connect the box of tricks to your wireless network.

you will have to connect one of the laptops to the printer, then share it to the other printer so you can at least have one laptop printing "wireless". If your printer does not have a network card you cannot create a wireless printer.

Or you can get a D Link DP-301U USB Ethernet Print Server and hook it up to you wireless router and Bang its on your network. Assuming you have a USP device on your printer and you have a wireless router.
