I would start with a great net minder i.e. Patrick Roy. The 1993 Montreal Canadiens are a good example of what great goal tending can do for you when you don't have the greatest offense. Nothing against The Great One but 1993 Habs beat the Gretzky lead Kings.

Interesting question. From a quick poll of the relatives ... the youngest said Sidney Crosby and the oldest wants Rocket Richard. But for everyone else its Wayne Gretzky.

relatively identity build around an getting old veteran who'll team and lead the gang the wonderful way. Im questioning like a Mark Recchi, or a Ray Whitney. purely me tho.. for sure Ovechkin, Malkin or Crosby would be stable too. lol

Well look at the stats.
I mean who has the most career points, assists and goals
who has the most single-season points, assists, and goals.
who has scored 4 goals in a single period
who has scored at least a point in 51 straight games.
If you know anything about hockey, the obvious choice is Wayne Gretzky

Bobby Orr. I will always wonder how much longer he could have played if he had played with the medical technology we have now. It will be very difficult to convince me that he wasn't the best when he was healthy.
