Is there a checkbox or something that will automatically save them? And will it fill up my quota too fast?

In my experience you can't get it *not* to save a copy in Sent Mail...and at any rate don't worry about the quota! Huge space!

You could just include yourself on every email you send. That way they'll all be in your inbox. You're not likely to use up your quota. You would have to be sending out an incredible amount of mail to fill a gmail account.

You outgoing messages are automatically saved. Just looked your left and click on "Sent". You will see all of the messages that you have sent.
