I collcted gemstones for years, but they are just in a box under my bed. I'd like to present them in some way, but not sure how to be original. I don't really want to make jewellery!

get some clear glass like a window through on PVA then put on the gemstones, make sure the PVA covers all the gems,
now you have a gem window, use it as a picture frame, table top (you will need to add legs), etc

maybe make a water fall sort of thing you know place the stones in a sort of shape as a waterfall and have like a bucket which drops every 2 mins. BUT you might need some electronical stuff.

ur right, jewellery is a complicated way of presenting them. And u don't really have to present them. You can just simply frame them label 'em and hang them on the wall. Then just switch a new hobby, OK?

Buy a mirrow with a wide wooden frame, something like pine, then arrange and glue the stones to the frame.

I had the same problem, my solution was to buy an old printer's tray and hang it on the wall. The small compartments are the perfect size for displaying my collection.

Could you set them in a frame under glass, add a base or legs, and use as a table? I guess it depends how many you have.
