I havent' had a period for two months and the tests are negative. Should I be concerned about not having one?

I have had the hormonal tests done back in the summer and they are all okay.

What type of birth control are you on, if any? Sometimes high levels of hormones can cause this and it can quickly turn into a serious problem. I know of a few young women that ended up having a total hysterectomy before the age of 30 because of the horomonal imbalance of their birth control.

If it goes on for too long, more than three months, get checked out. One of my friends wouldn't have hers for three month blocks at a time and they found out that she has a syndrome that could cause cervical cancer if she doesn't take a medication every day and stay on birth control whenever possible.

Were you stressed these two months? That can cause a temporary change in your cycle as long as it fixes itself.

Are you on birth control and have been skipping the white pills? That takes away the "pill period" that the white pills give you due to the pill itself actually canceling out the hormones that cause your period.

Many more things such as diet, weight, work, school, age and anything else that has an emotional affect on your can cause a change.

Talk to your doctor if you are worried. Answers on here will vary but a doctor can tell you for sure one way or another.

Obviously there could be a problem. If you have a good doctor he should be investigating this further.Have you been under a lot of stress lately, sometimes that can prolong a period for a while. Has your doctor checked you internally to see if everything is ok?I would be a bit concerned if your period doesn't start again soon.

Well, it depends...are you of the age when you will be entering into menopause? Are you underweight or very muscular and active?

Are you having any other menstrual maladies, such as sever cramping, sharp or dull pains in your lower abdomen?

What tests are negative? Pregnancy? If you did OTC testing, I would try another on at month tree. At any rate, I would consult my gynecologist.

Stress and weight issues can affect having one's period but as the other posters said pls have the dr investigate this further. And also to ease your concerns.

There can be many reasons for not getting your period, health, stress, weight loss, etc. etc. If you've always been "regular" probably best to check with your doctor.
