It was a good trade for Nashville. They get a top flight player who has Stanley Cup experience. He was playing very good in Philadelphia and things can only get better. he went from a weak team to a playoff team. Adding Forsberg will help Nashville get over the Top. Expect Forsburg to stay in Nashville for years to come. Philadelphia got to young prospects which helps them in the future. They are looking down the road 2 -4 years. What about next year? Winner Nashville

Very good trade. The flyers can rebuild their team with new blood while Nashville can use Forsberg like Carolina got Recchi and Weight before the cup run last year. And seeing how that turned out...
Nashville is probalby the best team to win right now. and the Flyers have a chance to get their team in much better shape for next year, especially as the preds are probalby only going to keep Forsberg for the playoffs.

Don't hold your breath on Forsberg returning to Philly. He might retire if the foot doesn't improve plus, the Flyer youth movement won't look that appealing to him, anyhow.
Regardless, this is a good move for both squads. The Preds add quality depth for a cup run and the Flyers get some assets instead of risking Forsberg retiring or leaving at the end of the season.

Good trade for both teams. The Flyers get some youth and save money. Also it looks like they will resign him in the off season. The predators have a chance to win it all and Forsberg makes a talented team even better.

Great trade. You get two young players back, don't have to pay the rest of Forsberg's salary, and will probably get him back in free agency. Nashville is basically renting Forsberg for a cup run.

Forsberg is a cancer in the locker room. He's an ego maniac and USED to be the best. I think that Nashville sold their future for this one year chance to get the Cup. Will he make a difference? Perhaps, but not as big as most might think. His ankles are shot and he's got an "it's all about ME" attitude. I think he went because he knows he's DONE and this is his last chance. What a self-absorbed puck!!! Rumor has it that he wanted to go to the Ducks but they weren't willing to trade a Getzlaf, Perry, Penner or even Shane O'Brian with some added prospects. Preds might win it, but it won't be because of Forsberg. Unfortunately for them, they sold their future.

I think it is an awesome trade! I am a die hard Flyers' fan and I LOVE Foresberg. I have full faith that since he is a free agent he will come back next season. They got a 1st round pick for him as well as 2 players. Although Parent isnt in the NHL yet, I think he will be promising. Upshall, who has played for the past 2 games is really a pretty good player, especiall with Carter and Calder. I think that with these new players and an almost certainty that Foresberg will come back, with a fresh Stanley Cup under his belt, the team will be back to its old self and he a REALLY good change and contending for the Cup. It was an unlucky year for them and they made the right decision. The trade is a win-win situation.

he gets traded and opposite to comments he needs to stay think of roughly it...why might he no longer choose for to settle for a deal to a Cup contender and specific win yet another Cup. simply by fact of this he (and all different gamers for that count) even worry to lace them up. If he have been dealt as we communicate he might purely take in a million.2 mill. of his new communities cap (salaries are professional-rated over the direction of the season) so he could be a particularly inexpensive apartment. simply by fact he's a unfastened agent after the season he ought to ok artwork out a deal privately with the Flyers to return next season even in the previous he's dealt so if he relatively needs to return it would be a sure wager to end. So he gets the main suitable of the two worlds...he can take yet another run on the Cup and then return some months later to the crew he needs to play for (and he will have helped the Flyers get a participant/gamers/draft selections which will lead them to extra desirable than they at present are). He has agreed to waive his no commerce clause so now it relatively is a controversy of having the main suitable deal achieved. There are some communities with cap area obtainable and the front runners will possibly be the crimson Wings as they have a historic previous of procuring for and merchandising away 1st around selections or the hurricane as they have intensity at D and the Flyers might desire to redesign their defence extra beneficial than the rest.

Good for who? Philly didn't get squat for him, I don't think. So it is bad for them, aside of freeing up cap space for next year.
For Nashville, it is totally dependent on Forsberg's health. If he is healthy, he's a winner, one of the best. If not, then it was all for nothing.
