I heard or read somewhere that Google has a Microsoft Front Page alternative. But a search at Google didn't turn up anything. Does this actually exist? Thanks

Front page sucks anyway, try Macromedia Dreamweaver, way better.
But Google may be making a HTML editor but i really doubt it, since thats not the kind of programs they make.
