Without a doubt it has to be: RICHARD THE LIONHEART…
Reason:
During his ten year reign he spent only 2 months of that time actually in Britain, preferring instead to spread the word of Christ to the unbeliever and the heathens in the Holy Land.. During his many battles, he fought directly with the enemy alongside his lowest ranked troops, DOES ANYONE DO THAT THESE DAYS?
He was finally slain in Battle by an Arrow, not so good, but to last through as much battles and precarious situations as he did deserves extra credit..

Henry I and V, Edward I and III, Elizabeth I and II, James I (VI of Scotland) and Victoria, they all either saw the kingdom through difficult times and or made great advances towards the civil systems we (supposedly) enjoy today.
Oliver Cromwell (and for that matter his son) were not crowned heads, they were self styled Lord Protectors, hypocrites and a scar on the face of our great & noble history.
SirDunny you're entitled to your opinion as am I and anyone else, I was merely making a note, your assumptions on the thumbsdown are off by a mile, twas not I.

Prince Charles supposedly chosen female Diana to be his consort in part because of her descent (albeit illegitimate) from the domicile of Stuart. The Spencers, for sure, are also descended from John Churchill, the Duke of Marlborough, and are hence distantly touching on to correct Minister Winston Churchill. although, whoever keeps music of those concerns concept it major that the Windsors will be reunited with the domicile of Stuart through marriage. Conspiracy theorists are keen on pointing out this tie. regrettably, like the Act of Union in 1707, the marriage grow to be an unequal partnership, ultimately causing tremendous resentment on both aspect.

prince albert queen victoria's husband should of been king. he was a great man. he done a lot for this country. He worked very hard and did not get any thanks for his trouble. tragicly he died young and queen victoria was overcome by grief. she wore black and made the whole nation wear black.
george the third was a good king. we know him infamously because he was believe to be mad but he was not it was a illness he suffered that made him appear to be mad, simple cure for it now. he was very down to earth type of guy and would talk to anyone about anything and he had a farm and loved farming. he would go out on his own to talk to the people and listen to their problems.
