Will be in Australia next month and my ride backed out. I need to get from the airport to where I'm staying in Wandin.

G'day,

Woww... down the Dandenong! Can be quite alot mate. Best travel will take abt 1hr Therefore you may have to prepare to have at least $50 with you.

You might also get the cost cheaper by using the Dandenong bus. This is the website: http://www.airportbusdandenong.com.au/

Good luck & welcome to Melbourne.

It would definitely cost you over $100. I live near the yarra valley and a taxi trip from the city alone cost nearly $100. You could try hire companies which service the airport, and there are also a few airport bus companies servicing outer areas.

Please allow at least $100 maybe a bit more depending on time of day and traffic. Trust me on this amount, I live 5 minutes from Wandin.
You can ring the taxi company (13CABS) and ask for a quote, that's what I usually do, at least you will know how much it will cost. Also most taxis take Eftpos or Credit Card

There are buses that travels from the airport to the yarra valley.

This is the bus line that services Wandin and further on. They may have a airport shuttle service

Wandin is NO WHERE near Dandenong, so please dont go that way .. lol
Martyrs will be able to tell you the best way to get to Wandin from Tullamarine - presuming you are landing there.

Here is another option
