Just head the the drug store. Next time, get the MD to write you an RX for the yeast infection pill (Diflucan) at the same time you get the Amoxicillin RX. If you have a history of this problem, they will do this for you. Save yourself lots of trouble ;)

Any general practitioner who treats teenagers has almost always had many patients who have made up our minds not to take their medicinal drugs and maybe not instructed any one. It's ordinarily a obstacle with young adults who want to exhibit that they're those accountable for their body, no longer their parents or their medical professionals. So, i would not be that worried over what your health care provider's reaction will probably be. This is seemingly a concern he faces virtually daily if he sees plenty of children. He will almost always just ask you why you stopped taking the medicines and then work with you to come up with an answer, whether or not it is going back on the equal medication, or trying yet another one, if certainly there is some side outcomes of the fashioned one who doens't believe you. However, you are nearly an grownup and must be taught to take accountability for your possess wellbeing. That is tough for you for the reason that you are not but an adult. I do not know how serious your ailment is or what the penalties are for you no longer taking your remedy. (i'm a physician, however this isn't my field). However, you have got to contact your health care professional who can support you. Absolutely Crohn's disease can be a serious illness and also you cannot just ignore it. Good good fortune to you.

It's always a good idea to eat yogurt while taking antibiotics.. but that's a lesson for next time.
The kits at the drug store can be pretty tough to use if you're on your period. Call your doctor. If you describe your symptoms, they may call in a prescription for you for Diflucan. It's just a pill you can take that should help in a day or so.

My mother taught me the old home remedy of soaking a tampon in white vinegar and inserting and leaving it for 6-8 hours, and you may have to repeat it once.
I did this and it was the most HORRIBLE BURNING PAIN I have ever had. I have no idea how she does it, but she swears by it. (Her vagina must be made of steel)
It did cure my yeast infection, but I will never never never never do it again. Now I just buy the kit at the store. The pain was not worth it for me.
Best of luck to you.

Of course, the Monistat products work well on yeast infection. If you need to save $$$, try plain yogurt with live cultures. It works.

The same thing just happened to me...try taking acidophilis pills...they should help fight the yeast infection. Then if that doesn't work your doctor can prescribe a pill to take that clears it up with one pill . ((If you don't like the creams that you can buy from the drug stores))

Lay off the sugar and starch because they feed the yeast.

Check with your dr to see if it's ok to use an OTC yeast cream during your period.
