My hero has suffered a major trauma which has actually meant that he has slipped into his parallel life. He is 'gay' and meets his 'straight' self. They are both facing each other across a room full of people. Who is the first to speak and what would they say?

Just to clarify there are two protagonists the 'gay' man who has found himself in this parallel existance where he is 'straight' and this 'straight' alto-ego. It isn't about scoring points I guess it is more about the conversations and decisions we might have if we decided to live our life differently.

You should make the plot that the main character is homophobic. He goes through life hating homosexuals. Then after his accident he meets hemself in a parallel life. He then spends all night talking to his homosexual self, and after realizes what an asshole hes been to everyone he knows that is homosexual. He then goes back and makes things right with people hes been mean to. I dont know if this is the kind of help you wanted, but it sounds like a book I'd want to read. Good Luck!

I didn't know you were writing a novel! Cool!

Do they each know they're in a parallel world, or that another version of them is out there? Because if they don't, I think the straight-versus-gay debate will fall a little flat versus the 'Oh my gosh, it's me!' shock.

If they know about one another, then that does give you an opportunity for something awesome. I guess I'm just wondering about the rest of the novel; I want some background on this to really know what's going on. Maybe you could message me so I could get some background?

Either way, good luck!

Gosh, a very touching moment. If you have reached the climax of the novel then you ought to have a strong inclination on how the finale must come about.

Which one is the primary protagonist--the homosexual or the heterosexual? Have your happy protagonist do the talking.

How about the gay one punching the straight one between the eyes? Just for fun...

The straight man speaks first. "How's it hangin'?" The gay man quickly stands erect, snaps his fingers over his head in a grand flamenco stance, taps his heel to the ground, and says, "Foot loose and fancy free!"

Walk across the room slowly, deliberately, hug one another, then walk arm in arm outside to talk privately and reconcile any differences they may have.

Which one slipped? That person should speak first.

Say something relevant to who they are, seeing themself.
