As the others have said, its a type of small song bird. There are several species found in the United States, Tufted, which is found in the eastern United States, Black-crested, which is found in South Texas, Juniper and Oak, formerly lumped together as one species called Plain Titmouse, which are found in the west, and my personal favorite, Bridled, which is only found in SE Arizona in the US.
They have some variation in markings, but they are mostly gray with a crest like a cardinal. They are related to chickadees and hang out with them in mixed flocks. Seeds are their main food and they nest in cavities, like holes in trees or bird houses. Was this WAY more than you wanted to know about titmice?

this kind of titmouse(because there are different breeds) is a bird that is mostly a small and gray with a rust-colored chest, and has a feather arch like the Cardinal does, on top of it's head. you will usually find it eating along side Cardinals and Sparrows and Juncos in the winter time.
