Sudoku puzzles. My daughter is 15 and hates school but loves doing the Sudoku puzzles, as well as word find, etc. What about putting together model cars or starting a train set? Try getting into the 1970s muscle cars, get books read up on them, you may find that down the road your first car can be an old car and you will know how to fix them.

You could build car models or do some wood carving both of these things are a lot of fun. I'm 48 years old and I recently became handicapped because of a work related accident and I get bored watching TV so I have been putting car models together and also doing some wood carving. I'm self taught on wood carving and I have a lot of fun doing it. Just watch out for your fingers and push the knife away from your body never pull the knife toward your body that's when you can get cut. Plus no two items will ever be the same and if you make a mistake you can easily fix it. Basswood or balsa wood is easy to carve with. Basswood is the best to work with it is a little harder of wood and you can do better with it. You can try balsa wood at first to see if you like carving it is a little cheaper in price but doesn't carve as nice as basswood because it is to soft. So get some carving knifes and some wood and put your imagination to work and have some fun. At fourteen years old you will be a pro when you get my age.I have been carving for only a few years but I have carved all kinds of animals that look like they have been bought at the store.
Good luck

There are plenty of things you can do!
- Have you ever thought about drawing or painting? Well, take a look at youtube and look for the work of `marcoseiji`. It might get you interested on drawing.
- Another option is to read. Read anything you like. There are many free downloadable books at www.gutenberg.org, such as A Journey to the Center of the Earth, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and many others.
- Writing a diary (or a ficcion story) and keeping it can be very interesting: some time from now you will get amazed when you read what you have written in the past.
- Play a game, such as chess or many others board games. You may play it through the internet or you may call a friend to your home.
Well and there are many other things I can´t imagine but you certainly can. So, it´s up to you! Hope I have helped. Good luck.

I had the same thing. I started drawing comic books of the people around me on a space station. My mom was the captian. And that helped me to pass the time. and the comics became very popular with my family. I started when I was 10 and I'm 40 now and I still do the comic. Now my 16 year old son is the star.
Have fun.

How about putting together model cars or airplanes. Get a book and teach yourself how to widdle (carve) something out of soft wood. Are you really good at a particular subject? Become a Tudor. Take painting lessons and learn how to oil paint. Hope this helps.

I agree that "something wrong with my chest" could mean a lot of things. It could mean that it hurts to move your chest (or that you're not supposed to), or it could mean that you get out of breath easily because of your lungs or heart, etc. Depending on which of those you have, your choice of a hobby could be quite different.
After you know what restrictions you have re movement or amount of time you can move, etc., you should try to figure out just what kinds of things YOU are interested in. Sometimes those things are obvious by the time you're 14, but often they aren't or you may become interested in things you weren't before as you get older (this is true for your whole life, btw).
I wrote an answer that you might like to read about discovering just what one IS interested in for another question awhile back... if you'd like to read it, click on this link, then scroll down to my (long) answer:

How about coin collecting. You could start with the state quarters or Lincoln Cents or anything that interest you. Get a copy of the "Red Book" from a local library or bookstore to see what US coins might interest you. You can get reference books from a library for world coins also.
This hobby leads into different subjects such as art, history and economics.

Check out the book 'Knitting with Balls' (it's weird I know but not as weird as you think).
Origami
Crossword puzzles
Java programming
Write
Collect insects
Train a rat to do tricks (also good for a science fair)
I like the sock monkey idea posted above (check out the book 'Stupid Sock Creatures')
Draw/paint/sculpt (again it was posted above but I think it's a good idea)
Hope this helps
EDIT:
Thought of some more
Operate a ham radio
Take up astronomy ( you need at least a pair of binoculars for this)

guitar makes me happy and you can always learn something every time you pick one up, Ibanez mini goes for $150. and is a rockin little guitar most others for the same price suck so don't bother. roland cube is a cool amp, about $100. this set up will jam real good for cheap money, if it sounds like fun to you, these are good products. I am a musician and that's what I bought my kids
